The weather was not kind to us for this event, with one day of dangerous iciness and the next beset by gales and torrential rain! But once again St Andrew's was a haven of light and beauty, with warming soup and delicious cake to add to the joy. Young and old braved the elements to enjoy the wonderful creativity of the villagers who had decorated the trees. A total of £1,867 was raised and the Festival closed with a traditional Carol Service.

The purple one we have for Lent (coming up to Easter), and Advent (coming up to Christmas) was in poor condition. Members of the congregation decided to give a new one which was used for the first time and blessed on the nearest Sunday to St Andrew’s Day, 30th November.
